About Me

I am a biologist and a bioinformatics researcher driven by a central question in evolutionary biology: How biological diversity is generated and maintained in the face of environmental constraints? As a biologist I am particularly interesed in understanding the interplay of natural selection and intrinsic genomic factors in shaping the diversity of the molecular machinery of life. As a bioinformatician I am interested in developing and applying computational methods to integrate and analyze large-scale genomic data, with the goal of uncovering the underlying mechanisms of genomic evolution.
